I am a researcher with over 9 years of experience in neuroscience, neurodegenerative diseases, and brain oncology. I have published over 12 research papers. Since the beginning of my career, I have been on a journey to improve treatments of human diseases. On this path, I developed a deep knowledge of brain physiology at the molecular and systemic level, sharp analytic, and project management skills.

My background and Experience

I have received my first Master’s degree in Biophysics from Biology Department, and the second Master’s degree in Numerical Analysis in Economics from Information Technology and Mechanics Department of Nizhny Novgorod State University, Russia.

At Biology Department I studied in-depth physics of biological processes, plant’s biophysics, neuroscience, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, virology, evolution, etc. Thanks to that experience, I have established a broad system of knowledge about Life.

My second degree in Numerical Analysis in Economics complimented my knowledge with mathematical tools (regressions, correlation, clustering, etc.) for explaining various types of data and extracting essential information.

After my Master’s I was chosen for a PhD program in Neuroscience at Brain Science Institute RIKEN in Japan and graduated in 2015. It was a very rich experience in obtaining professional and cultural knowledge. I extensively studied rules of synaptic plasticity underlying learning. During my PhD I have published 8 papers and more are currently under preparation.

After defending my PhD, I worked for 2 years in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia at Neuroscience Centre, and collaborated with Federal Research Medical Centre. I worked on glial physiology and brain cancer identifying the unique signature of tumorous cells.

Since 2015 I have been working as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at College de France in Paris, France. Here I worked on the general rules of brain plasticity and metabolism. I have developed a collaborative project including an innovative imaging technique to study the deep-brain stimulation (DBS) in Parkinson’s disease. I have published 4 papers and 3 more are currently under preparation.

Among my key achievements are one personal research grant, 4 prestigious awards for research. I supervised 6 MSc students and 2 PhD students, published 12 scientific papers in top journals (and more are under preparation).
